StudioBook is the fastest-growing studio booking platform. It’s still new, but we have big dreams for it. We think it could help democratize the recording industry by making recording studios more accessible to new and independent artists.
There are two sides of the StudioBook coin: recording studios and musicians. StudioBook.io is made for both, so booking recording studios is easier on everyone involved.

Recording studio owners want easier client management from the jump. We’ve made it so search, booking, payment, reviews and communication are in one place. All you have to do to connect with past, current and prospective clients is log into your StudioBook dashboard.
Musicians need a platform to find, book and pay for recording studio sessions. Find recording studios in your area, book, get accepted by the studio, and show up to the booking with a valid ID. It’s never been easier to record professional-quality music.
We think it’s true that with dedication, the right tools and local industry experts, any musician can sound good. Or at least better than they do on BandLab. And we believe local recording studios (home and professional) are foundational to the music industry.
StudioBook doesn’t just make it easier to make better-sounding music. It encourages independent artists to lean into the in-person process of making music. It brings recording studios and artists in the same city together. We think it could cause a ripple effect that inspires better industry connections and better music from new artists.

Studio Owner FAQs
Q: Do I have to use the booking system on StudioBook or can I use my own system for booking and payment?
A: You can use your own if you prefer, however you won’t be able to leave/receive reviews if you don't book through our system. Reviews are a crucial part of being viewed as a professional studio and a key part to getting more bookings.
Q: If I only have a private home studio, can I still list my studio?
A: Of course! We encourage all types. Many artists prefer private home studios for a number of reasons, so a home studio could be a way to stand out! We make booking and scheduling easy so that you can converse and approve of the artist before ever having them come to your home. That way you can feel comfortable about having someone new come to your own home.
Q: How can I get more bookings?
A: We see the studios with a competitive price + good reviews + higher search results get the most amount of bookings. The combination is extremely important. A tip is to use our system for a few bookings with your current clients, that way you can get a few reviews visible on StudioBook!
Q: If I only have 1 studio, why would I upgrade to StudioBook’s premium memberships?
A: A subscription gets you higher in the search results as well as a verified checkmark. These things really help validate you as a professional from just a glance.

Artist/Musician FAQs
Q: If I have my own engineer, do I have to use the studio’s engineer?
A: Not necessarily. Some studios require you to book the studio with their engineer while other studios do not have this requirement. If they require an engineer, ask the studio if they are willing to let your engineer be the main engineer while the studio’s engineer just helps oversee the technical side of things. Like how the monitor controller works, and how the patchbay is set up.
Q: What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
A: Check with the studio’s cancellation policy. Each studio has their own policy.
Q: Do I have to use the booking system on StudioBook or can I use my own system for booking and payment?
A: You can use your own if you prefer, however you won’t be able to leave/receive reviews if you don't book through our system. Reviews are a crucial part of being viewed as a professional.
Q: How do I know how long it will take to complete my project and how many hours to book?
A: It is best to talk with the studio directly about this to plan for your needs. Every project is different and every producer/engineer works differently.
